•  Basic concept and theory of compressor: Definition of compressor, Fluid mechanics and thermodynamics principles, & Relative comparisons of various compressor types.

•  Compressor characteristics: Slope and stone wall, Surge and off design operation, Adjustable vanes, & Specific speed and guide vane angle.

•  Compressor operation and performance testing: Starting up and mechanical field, Performance curves, & Avoiding surge and liquids.
